<Liz> Tonight I braved a new adventure: I ate 'canard'. Now for many of you this will seem foolish and stupid that I consider this venture "brave" but for me to eat a duck- this is surely a new thing. I ordered duck sauted in pineapple sauce. I was astounded! It actually was quite nice and I would order it again some day. I think I have had a fear ever since seeing "A Christmas Story" for the first time so many years ago when the family goes out for Christmas dinner at the only open restaurant after the Bompus' dogs raid the kitchen and pulverize the turkey. The kind hearted servers try to carol to Ralphy's family and the duck is served "smiling". </Liz> <!--4:00 PM-->
