<Liz> warning: the toilet is usually dirtier than you think. Tonight I am about to dismantle the toilet seat and cover to get rid of "the smell". This morning I scrubbed the ceiling and walls and floor and "visible" areas of the toilet only to be perturbed by "that smell". I am sure no one has ever cleaned under "it" before.
Darnit...this is what cleaning apts for over a year does to one. </Liz> <!--2:27 PM-->
<Liz> The metro moves pretty fast. It allows about 1 minute of possible "open-door" time in which all descending and mounting passengers must make their move. Today I witnessed about 4 adults move 25 three and four year olds off the metro within the peripherique of Paris. As you can imagine, they were inclined to run in all directions upon stepping onto the platform, kinda like mad ants in a broken ant hill. The "open-door" minute was prolonged an extra 30 seconds so not to leave any kiddos behind in the train, neither to run any of them over. I'm not a mother, nor am I called at this time in my life to children's ministries, but I can say it did make me wonder if I really will want to "inscrit" my 3 or 4 year old in Ecole Maternelle. </Liz> <!--9:47 AM-->
